PAS Cargo USA
Freight and Cargo Consolidation
Parcel and Pallet Dimensioners
PAS Cargo USA is an international freight and cargo consolidation company headquartered in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. The company targets business outside North America, including the Carribean, Central America, and South America. However, PAS Cargo was at a disadvantage. The company was still weighing, measuring, and recording every parcel and pallet by hand during check-in, leading to significant costs in time and labor as well as resulting in a concerning percentage of errors. PAS Cargo contacted Cargo Spectre for a faster, easier, and more reliable solution to its dimensioning needs.
First, we examined PAS Cargo’s facilities and freight check-in operations. The company was using tape measures and pencils to record pallet and parcel dimensions. Cargo Spectre recommended both the Pallet Spectre and Parcel Spectre automated dimensioning systems to dramatically improve measuring speed and accuracy in PAS Cargo’s warehouses. Each system uses automated A.I. scanning technology to accurately calculate the precise measurements of every piece of cargo that enters a warehouse, truck, or container, producing NTEP-certified weights and dimensions much faster and more reliably than any tape measure. Each measurement is automatically recorded in an electronic database for easy retrieval and sharing.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Reducing the time and labor necessary to record accurate, manual measurements of a high volume of cargo from multiple international carriers was our client’s top priority. Cargo Spectrue achieved that goal on Day 1, transforming PAS Cargo’s process from pulling a tape measure on every piece of cargo and writing down the dimensions to the simple click of a button. Automated measurements from Cargo Spectre also allow PAS Cargo to instantly store the data in their database of choice as well as share it with personnel anywhere in the world.
MEASURE OF SUCCESS
Thanks to Cargo Spectre’s incredibly accurate, NTEP-certified measurements, our client saved considerable time and money wasted on manual cargo measuring. With more efficient and reliable data stored and shared easily via the cloud, our client can also retrieve and share real-time freight measurements between multiple users and facilities around the world. Best of all, each system cost only $6,000 upfront to install.
