ECU Worldwide is a global leader in LCL consolidation. Along with an extensive ocean freight service portfolio, they also provide a logistic hub and spoke service for the actual door-to-port service. ECU contacted Cargo Spectre because the company needed to dramatically improve the speed and accuracy of its cargo weights and measurements. They needed to cut costs spent on employee overtime to handle the high volume of dimensional and weight measurements for all of the cargo the company handles. Cargo Spectre delivered an automated dim weight system that could reduce the costs spent on overtime and human error in its cargo dimensioning.
Cargo Spectre went to work improving ECU’s dimensioning accuracy and speed, starting with a custom cargo dimensioning consultation to determine the ideal dimensioning system to achieve their goals. Due to the client’s high volume of freight, we recommended both the Pallet Spectre and Parcel Spectre in order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of ECU’s cargo dimensioning process by instantly producing dims at a much higher degree of accuracy than human input.
